LOCAL AUDITIONS - "A Christmas Carol"

La Comedia Dinner Theatre in Springboro, Ohio, will hold an open call audition for its production of A CHRISTMAS CAROL on Saturday, September 3, 2016, at 765 W. Central Ave., Springboro, Ohio.

 

9:00 a.m.                     CHILDREN – Ages 7-16, Both boys and girls. 

                                                         Sing any Christmas carol.

           

10:00 a.m.                   SEEKING:

 

Ebenezer Scrooge       50-65 Baritone.  Miserly old man who hates Christmas.

 

Jacob Marley              50-65 Scrooge’s dead partner.  Strong in voice and movement.

 

Bob Cratchit                30-50 Tenor.  Kind, mild-mannered clerk to Scrooge.  Strong actor.

 

Fred                             20-30 Baritone.  Scrooge’s handsome nephew who loves Christmas.

 

Young Scrooge            18-25 Tenor.  Handsome, strong young man who falls for Belle but can’t leave his money.

 

Fezziwig                       40-70 Jovial merchant with whom Scrooge once worked.  Character actor.

 

Belle                            20-25 Soprano.  Beautiful woman who Scrooge falls in love with.

 

Mrs. Cratchit               30-50 Alto.  Bob’s kind and loving wife.

 

Mrs. Fezziwig              40-65 The devoted, jovial wife of Fezziwig.

 

ENSEMBLE                  Strong singers and actors who move well.

                                    The Ghosts and supporting characters will be cast from the ensemble. 

 

Prepare a traditional Christmas song.

Bring headshot, resume, and sheet music.  An accompanist will be provided.

Director/Choreographer is Chris Beiser

Rehearsals begin October 17, 2016.  Performances November 2- December 31, 2016.

4 days off for Thanksgiving and Christmas.

La Comedia Dinner Theatre in Springboro, Ohio, will hold an open call audition for its production of A CHRISTMAS CAROL from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Monday, September 12, 2016, at Nola Studios, 250 W. 54th St. NYC.  All principals and ensemble will be seen at this open call.

           

SEEKING:

 

Ebenezer Scrooge       50-65 Baritone.  Miserly old man who hates Christmas.
