Chris BeiserROLE: D’Ysquith Family
Chris is excited to return to the La Comedia stage after last appearing in Almost Heaven: Songs of John Denver. He’s also appeared here as Floyd Spinner in Love, Sex and the I.R.S. and in Pump Boys and Dinettes, Ring of Fire, A Closer Walk With Patsy Cline, as Carriere in Phantom, Little Jimmy Timmy in The Honky Tonk Angels: Bubba’s Revenge, Harold in The Full Monty, George Jones in Stand By Your Man: The Tammy Wynette Story and Bellamy in The Fantasticks. Chris is the director of music at St. Mark’s UMC in Fairfield.
David ThomasROLE: Monty Navarro
David returns to our stage after most recently appearing as Edgar in A Christmas to Remember and Buddy in Elf: The Musical. He has also been seen here in Disaster, Shrek, Joseph…Dreamcoat, as Ralph Sheldrake in White Christmas, Mr. Boddy in Clue: The Musical, Flotsam in The Little Mermaid, Marty in It’s a Wonderful Life, Mara in Miracle on 34th Street, and many more. Other credits include Lancelot in Camelot, Caveman in The Addams Family, The Sound of Music, Children of Eden, Guys and Dolls, The Man Who Came to Dinner, 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Moon Over Buffalo, and The Wedding Singer.
KatieAnn BonavitaROLE: Sibella
KatieAnn is excited to return to the La Comedia stage after just appearing as Ariel in The Little Mermaid. She graduated in December from Ohio State University with dual degrees in mechanical engineering and music and is currently pursuing professional singing while working as a dog trainer. As a resident of Columbus, her recent credits include Sister Mary Amnesia in Nunsense and Gypsy Rose Lee in Gypsy with the Little Theatre Off Broadway, and Cinderella in Into the Woods, and Maguellone in Cendrillón with OSU.
Colin CranstounROLE: Ensemble
Colin is happy to be returning to the La Comedia stage after most recently appearing in The Little Mermaid, The King and I, as the operator of Audrey II in Little Shop of Horrors, and as LeFou in Beauty and the Beast. He has also been seen here in Sister Act, Fiddler on the Roof, A Christmas Story, The Addams Family, South Pacific, Miracle on 34th Street, Happy Days, Titanic, and A Christmas Carol. He has appeared in several productions with Cincinnati Christian Community Theatre including Broadway Showstoppers, Les Misérables, Hello Dolly!, Fiddler on the Roof, and The Music Man.
Allison GabertROLE: Miss Barley/Ensemble
Allison is a graduate of Northern Kentucky University with a B.F.A. in theatre performance and returns after appearing in The Little Mermaid. Some of her favorite roles include Mrs. Wormwood in Matilda: The Musical, Eponine in Les Misérables and Little Red in Into the Woods. She has choreographed for several youth musical theatre productions and NKU dance shows and would like to open her own dance studio. Thank you to my friends and family for their endless support.
Hannah HenslerROLE: Phoebe D’Ysquith
Hannah is so excited to be back at La Comedia after appearing in Annie. Originally from Fairfield, Ohio, Hannah is a proud graduate of Kent State University, with a B.F.A. in musical theatre. Previous credits include Quilters (Porthouse Theatre), Parade (Kent State University), Drood (KSU), and Chaplin (Mercury Theatre Company). When she is not performing, Hannah enjoys baking, reading, and playing the piano. She would like to thank her incredible friends and family for all of their constant love and support.
Digger HowardROLE: Ensemble
Digger is thrilled to be returning after last appearing as Chef Louis in The Little Mermaid, Kralahome in The King and I, and his Broadway World Award-winning performance as Ted in Disaster. He has spent over 10 years touring the globe from Alaska to Australia. Previous credits include Homer in Floyd Collins, Burrs in The Wild Party, and Jamie in the Japanese premiere of The Last Five Years. None of this would be possible without the never ending support and love of my parents, Paulett and Dominick.
Chris KramerROLE: Ensemble
Chris returns to La Comedia after most recently appearing as Captain von Trapp in The Sound of Music, Pastor Gunderson in Church Basement Ladies and Santa in A Christmas to Remember. Other La Comedia credits include Walter in Elf: The Musical, Bill Ray in On Golden Pond, Pulitzer in Newsies, Boolie Werthan in Driving Miss Daisy, Sam Carmichael in Mamma Mia!, Scrooge in A Christmas Carol, Sam Phillips in Million Dollar Quartet, The Old Man in A Christmas Story, Emile De Becque in South Pacific, and Kris Kringle in Miracle on 34th Street. He studied theatre and acting at Northern Michigan University, New York’s HB Studio, CCM, and Xavier University. Regionally, he’s worked with Mad Anthony Theatre, New Stage Collective, Know Theatre, Miami University, New Edgecliff, Ovation, and Human Race Theatres. Chris has appeared in innumerable local, regional and national TV commercials, industrial videos, films and print ads. Much love to Cheryl.
Tina ShattoROLE: Lady Eugenia/Ensemble
Tina is returning to La Comedia for her 37th production. She was most recently seen as Sister Robert Anne in Nunsense, Sister Mary Theresa in Sister Act, and as Rhetta Cupp in Pump Boys and Dinettes. She has also appeared as Minnie Pearl in A Closer Walk with Patsy Cline, Rumpleteaser in CATS, Ermengarde in Hello Dolly!, Gladys in 42nd Street, Mrs. Potiphar in Joseph…Dreamcoat, Estelle in Full Monty, and Urlene in Footloose, to name a few. Tina also spent several years as a singer/dancer at Kings Island and Nashville Follies, and has had the pleasure of serving as choreographer for the Monroe High School Show Choir and the director and choreographer of the Summer Youth Theatre. She wishes to thank her loving husband and family for their constant support.
Karie-Lee SutherlandROLE: Miss Shingle/Ensemble
Karie-Lee is happy to return to the La Comedia stage after last appearing as Sister Mary Amnesia in Nunsense, Jackie in Disaster and Chelsea in On Golden Pond. Other favorite roles include Tanya in Mamma Mia!, Truvy in Steel Magnolias, Glinda in The Wizard of Oz, Mother in A Christmas Story, and Morticia Addams in The Addams Family. Karie-Lee has toured the world as a performer for the DOD-USO, and is a veteran of live shows at Kings Island, where she recently sang at WinterFest. She has worked as an actor, director, and choreographer at various theaters in Cincinnati including the Covedale Center, Warsaw Federal Incline Theater, the educational outreach program at Playhouse in the Park, CCM’s prep department, and at Miami University’s theatre department.
