Montana IversonROLE: Jesus
Montana is from Springboro and currently attends Wright State University. He has been involved in local theatre productions for over 10 years with Town Hall Theatre and Beavercreek Community Theatre. He has performed with the rock band Bohemian Funk, playing shows in Ohio, Indiana, and Nashville and can be heard playing bass on the five singles currently out and the upcoming full studio album recorded and produced in Nashville by Grammy Award-winning sound engineer Jeffrey Thomas.
Hannah BrownROLE: Hannah
is excited to be returning to the La Comedia stage after last appearing as Signe in Church Basement Ladies. She has also been seen here in A Christmas to Remember, in Nunsense as Sister Mary Leo, as Shelby in Steel Magnolias, and in Almost Heaven: Songs of John Denver, and Annie. Other favorite roles include Lola in Damn Yankees, Brooke Wyndham in Legally Blonde, and Meg in Crimes of the Heart. Hannah has also performed in many shows at Kings Island. She is a graduate of Miami University with a degree in middle childhood education and a minor in musical theatre. All her love to God, her family, and Matt.
Allison GabertROLE: Allison
is a graduate of Northern Kentucky University with a B.F.A. in theatre performance and returns after appearing in A Christmas Story, Footloose as Wendy Jo, A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder as Miss Barley and in The Little Mermaid. Some of her favorite roles include Mrs. Wormwood in Matilda: The Musical, Eponine in Les Misérables and Little Red in Into the Woods. She has choreographed for several youth musical theatre productions and NKU dance shows and would like to open her own dance studio. Thank you to my friends and family for their endless support.
Becky IversonROLE: Becky
is thrilled to make her debut on the La Comedia stage, alongside her husband and oldest son. She received her Bachelor of Arts in theater performance at the University of Maryland, with numerous acting credits, including The Wizard of Oz as the Wicked Witch, Agnes of God as the Mother Superior, The Giver as the Giver, and Shrek as Mama Ogre and Guard. She has worked at LexisNexis for over 26 years, and also serves on Springboro City Council. She would like to thank both her parents for inspiring her to do theater as a young teenager, and grateful for all the shows she has been able to perform with her husband and four children.
Ed IversonROLE: Ed
is so very pleased to be performing in his first La Comedia production, along with his wife and son. He is no stranger to the stage, holding a Bachelor of Arts degree in theater performance from the University of Maryland, and having been a performance instructor for the last 10 years at Town Hall Theater in Centerville, performing in over 40 shows. He also played Father Christmas and Uncle Diggory in The Lion Witch and the Wardrobe at Dayton’s Victoria Theater in 2019. Ed enjoys all good gifts of living here in Springboro with his family. Dylan JacksonROLE: Dylan
is thrilled to be returning to the La Comedia stage after appearing as Chuck in Footloose and Jetsam in The Little Mermaid. A graduate of the New York Film Academy, Dylan has been in New York and Los Angeles working in film productions for the last seven years. Past theatre credits include Willard in Footloose, Rooster in Annie, Felix in The Odd Couple, Tin Man in The Wizard of Oz, and Frog in A Year with Frog and Toad. “For Dalton, my number one fan!”
Bridget LorenzROLE: Bridget
is from Hamilton, Ohio, and is happy to be returning to the La Comedia stage after appearing in Shrek. A graduate of Wright State University with a B.F.A. in musical theatre, she recently performed at Holiday World in Santa Claus, Indiana.
Karie-Lee SutherlandROLE: Karie-Lee
is happy to be returning to the La Comedia stage after last appearing as Mother in A Christmas Story and Ethel McCormack in Footloose. Favorite roles include Tanya in Mamma Mia!, Truvy in Steel Magnolias, Glinda in The Wizard of Oz, and Morticia Addams in The Addams Family. Karie-Lee has toured the world as a performer for the DOD-USO, and is a veteran of live shows at Kings Island. She has worked as an actor, director, and choreographer at various theaters in Cincinnati including the Covedale Center, Warsaw Federal Incline Theater, the educational outreach program at Playhouse in the Park, CCM’s prep department, and at Miami University’s theatre department. Desmond ThomasROLE: John the Baptist/Judas
Desmond is excited to return to our stage after last appearing in A Christmas Story. Other La Comedia credits include Macy’s Manager in Elf: The Musical, High School Musical, Mamma Mia!, Timeless Memories of Christmas, The Color Purple, and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Elsewhere, he has appeared in Seussical, Joseph…, Once on this Island, Big Fish, and Jesus Christ Superstar (Epiphany Players); Godspell, Footloose, The Wild Party, American Idiot, Children of Eden, and The Hunchback of Notre Dame (Dare to Defy); Hairspray, H2$, Les Miserable, Grease, and Xanadu (Dayton Playhouse). “There’s nothing more important, or special, as live theatre.” SMASH
Averi TurnerROLE: Averi
is from Miamisburg and is excited to be making her debut at La Comedia. Previous credits include Disney’s Freaky Friday, Thoroughly Modern Millie, 26 Pebbles, Once on this Island, and Songs for a New World. Averi, who is also an Italian citizen, enjoys fashion, hairstyling and makeup and hopes to be a princess at Disney World and a film actress.
