Marilyn Farley
ROLE: Vivian A Dayton native, Marilyn teaches Movement for the Actor II at Wright State University College of Fine and Performing Arts. She studied mime and movement- theatre in Paris, France, at Ecole Internationale de Mimodrame de Marcel Marceau. Upon return to the U.S., she co-founded and directed Mimeistry International College of Ministering Arts based in Pasadena, California, teaching and performing all over the U.S. and 26 countries. She has two grown children and two grandchildren. This is her sixth show at La Comedia.
Leanne Greenberg
ROLE: Mavis Leanne is a Cincinnati native and returned to La Comedia last year, after an absence of almost 40 years, as Martha in White Christmas. Her favorite show ever was Life with Father here at La Comedia in which she played five different maids. She was last seen here as Mildred in Just Desserts: A Musical Bake-Off. Her other regional credits include Showboat Majestic, Wagon Wheel Playhouse, the Incline Theatre, The Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati, Commonwealth Theatre Company, Kincaid Regional Theatre, and True Grist Dinner Theatre. Her favorite roles performed include Meg Brockie in Brigadoon, Bonnie in Anything Goes, Minnie Fay in Hello Dolly!, and Zombina in Zombies From the Beyond. And a special thanks to Joe Kovacs who keeps encouraging me to “go for it!”
Chris Kramer
ROLE: Pastor Chris returns to La Comedia after most recently appearing as Andrew Wyke in Sleuth. Other La Comedia credits include Captain von Trapp in The Sound of Music, Pastor Gunderson in Church Basement Ladies, Walter in Elf: The Musical, Bill Ray in On Golden Pond, Pulitzer in Newsies, Boolie Werthan in Driving Miss Daisy, Sam Carmichael in Mamma Mia!, Scrooge in A Christmas Carol, The Old Man in A Christmas Story, Emile De Becque in South Pacific, and Kris Kringle in Miracle on 34th Street. He studied theatre and acting at Northern Michigan University, New York’s HB Studio, CCM, and Xavier University. Regionally, he’s worked with Mad Anthony Theatre, New Stage Collective, Know Theatre, Miami University, New Edgecliff, Ovation, and Human Race Theatres. Chris has appeared in innumerable local, regional and national TV commercials, industrial videos, films and print ads. Much love to Cheryl.
Meghan Slowik
ROLE: Beverly Meghan is excited to be returning to La Comedia after appearing as Betty Jean in The Marvelous Wonderettes. She has also been seen here in Miracle on 34th Street, and as Punky Olander in Grumpy Old Men: The Musical, Escape to Margaritaville, Phantom and The Music Man. A native of Jacksonville, Florida, she is a graduate of the University of North Florida with a bachelor’s in piano performance. She was in a professional children’s choir for 10 years, performed at both Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center, and was in the Florida Touring Choir for Josh Groban’s “Stages” tour. She has been in several operas, including Turandot, Suor Angelica, and Blind Injustice with the Cincinnati Opera.
Karie-Lee Sutherland
ROLE: Karin Karie-Lee returns to La Comedia after appearing as Ariel Truax in Grumpy Old Men and Fairy Godmother in Cinderella. Favorite roles include Tanya in Mamma Mia!, Glinda in The Wizard of Oz, and Morticia Addams in The Addams Family. Karie-Lee has toured the world as a performer for the DOD-USO, and is a veteran of live shows at Kings Island. She has worked as an actor, director, and choreographer at various theaters in Cincinnati including the Covedale Center, Warsaw Federal Incline Theater, the Educational Outreach program at Playhouse in the Park, Showboat Majestic, CCM’s Prep Department, and Miami University’s theatre department.
