Chris Beiser
ROLE: Tony Whitcomb Chris is excited to return to the La Comedia stage after last appearing as Bo in Steeple People, and as every member of the D’Ysquith family who met their untimely deaths in A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder. He’s also appeared here as Floyd Spinner in Love, Sex and the I.R.S. and in Ring of Fire, A Closer Walk With Patsy Cline, as Carriere in Phantom, Little Jimmy Timmy in The Honky Tonk Angels: Bubba’s Revenge, Harold in The Full Monty, George Jones in Stand By Your Man: The Tammy Wynette Story, and Bellamy in The Fantasticks. Chris is also the director of music at St. Mark’s UMC in Fairfield.
Linda Dew
ROLE: Mrs. Eleanor Shubert Linda is happy to be back on the LaComedia stage after last appearing as Jean in Just Desserts, Stepmother in Cinderella, Carlotta in Phantom and Mother Abbess in The Sound of Music. A frequent performer here since 1997, favorite roles include Anna in the 1999 production of The King and I, Sister Hubert in Nunsense, and M’Lynn in Steel Magnolias. Though she has performed in countless operas, musicals and plays throughout the Tri-state and New York, she considers La Comedia home. When she isn’t performing she enjoys spending time with her friends, family, four grown children, their spouses, and 13 grandchildren. John 8:32.
John Dorney
ROLE: Eddie Lawrence Since retiring from corporate life in 2021, John has had a busy theatrical life performing in over 20 productions with almost a dozen different theater groups in the greater Cincinnati area. He was last on stage at La Comedia as Arvide in Guys and Dolls. He has also performed over 40 improv shows, and co-hosted at Game Show Battle Rooms. All my love to the Mrs., the kids, the kids-in-law, and the kids’ kids.
Dylan Jackson
ROLE: Nick O’Brian Dylan is excited to return to the La Comedia stage after just appearing as Scarecrow in The Wizard of Oz. He has also been seen here as Jetsam in The Little Mermaid, Chuck in Footloose, Marcellus in The Music Man, and Benny Southstreet in Guys and Dolls. Dylan has been in multiple Kings Island stage shows including Retrospect and Swingin’ Into Christmas. Special thanks to his family, Allison, and Dalton for their support. @dylanleejackson.
Jonathan Pendergrass
ROLE: Mikey Thomas Jonathan returns to La Comedia having just appeared as Tin Man in The Wizard of Oz. You may have also seen him as Zach in Just Desserts, Herald in Cinderella, Jamie in Escape to Margaritaville, Leaf Coneybear in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Lumiere in Beauty and the Beast, Tommy Djilas in The Music Man, Footloose, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Mamma Mia!, and Annie. Jonathan has also performed in our Lunch and Learn Children’s Theatre productions of A Year with Frog and Toad, Charlotte’s Web, Frederick: The Mouse and The Musical Adventures of Flat Stanley. Karie-Lee Sutherland
ROLE: Barbara DeMarco Karie-Lee returns to La Comedia after appearing as Glinda in The Wizard of Oz, Karin in The Church Basement Ladies: Plowin’ Thru, Ariel Truax in Grumpy Old Men, and Fairy Godmother in Cinderella. Favorite roles include Tanya in Mamma Mia!, and Morticia Addams in The Addams Family. Karie-Lee has toured the world as a performer for the DOD-USO, and is a veteran of live shows at Kings Island. She has worked as an actor, director, and choreographer at various theaters in Cincinnati including the Covedale Center, Warsaw Federal Incline Theater, the Educational Outreach program at Playhouse in the Park, Showboat Majestic, CCM’s Prep Department, and Miami University’s theatre department.
